THE APOCALYPSE CAME NOT WITH A BANG,

But with an exhalation of the Crypt Door.

There is still debate on when it happened or even where it began. All that is known is that doorways to what is now called the Crypt have opened all across Earth in an event named the Night of the Open Grave. The dead walked the streets, spirits tore through homes, and monsters of legend and myth stalked openly into the night. The CRYPTIDS had awoken.

WHAT IS THE CRYPT HAS OPENED?

Americana Horror, Grindhouse Horror, and camp wrapped up in a 90s aesthetic. This is Tales From the Crypt meets The Stand meets Harry Dresden. The setting takes place in an alternate history in which an unknown, malevolent force called The Crypt has invaded and nearly destroyed everything. This has put the world into a post-apocalyptic state of rebuilding. Overall, the technology level is that of the early 1990s, with a few areas still suffering from the impact on infrastructure.

The players take on the role of magical practitioners who draw on their magical Traditions and Tropes to help combat the Crypt, cryptids, and reclaim the Dead Spaces of the world.

A massive earthquake exhumes a lost labyrinth of treasures and monsters.

The magically-sealed gates of an ancient, evil lich’s castle have once again opened.

A mountainous mass of rock floats high above the kingdom, engulfing it in shadow; it begs to be explored and explained.
Whatever the place, whatever the reason, they must be plundered. They are the birthplace of new tales of valor and villainy; of bonds forged in curiosity, calamity, and coin; of epic battles, tense political negotiations, and tremendous treasures.

Gather your equipment, pull together a band of adventurers, and delve deep into the halls of your very own WYRD Dungeon.

What is WYRD Dungeon?

The WYRD Dungeon is meant to be picked up and played without preparation, and to facilitate generating a story in the moment. Your goal is simple: delve deep, explore everything, and cash out before all is lost…if you can…using the 11 d66 lists provided. Each playthrough will be randomly generated with new level names, traps, and factions.

Or, if you wish, simply use the lists to inspire your own ideas and plug them into your ongoing campaign.

Based on the WYRD Framework by Disaster Tourism. If you love OSR style of play, then you’ll love this. The core rules of the game are light and flexible so you can get into the dungeon in minutes.

“This is the kind of game I could walk into a pub with and run without a single issue, which—as someone who’s only running games out of local breweries right now—I appreciate immensely.” – Zack B.

Features:

  • 11 d66 lists (that’s 396 entries!) of quick and compelling names, traps, monsters, magic items, and more.
  • Incredible artwork to help players and GM alike get into the mindset of what may be found within the dungeon.
  • Both game and artwork fall under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license.
  • What you wield makes you who you are, not a class.
  • Sway, a meta resource, allows players to convince monsters to join their side rather than defaulting to violence.
  • Can be played as a GM-Full game (everyone at the table is both player and GM!).

THE COLOR OF EVERYTHING

Welcome to the world of Chromia, where colors are more vibrant, music more pure, and everyone lives to create something wonderful. Artists work together in their specialty every day to make the world a better place. Here Illustrators can blast out color with a swish of their paint brush. Animators can bring every day objects to life. Musicians write and play music to bring happiness to everyone.

It was a wonderful world until the DeSats invaded, led by the twisted Discordant who wanted everything for themselves. They sent out their twisted Shades to drain color. Dissonants slipped into the sounds of the world to corrupt their harmony. While Hammer-Heads bashed the hard work of the Sculptors.

Discordant and their DeSats struck fast and hard, toppling major cities across the world. All seemed lost, until the teenagers of IntenCity rose up to fight back. You are a group of those teens, banding together to weave your skills together and bring color, music, and life back to the world and bring down Discordant and their DeSats.
